Serenity Sands

Serenity Sands is a holistic residential development designed in Medina, Saudi Arabia, inspired by the desert landscape and the region’s characteristic palm trees. The project combines a villa community with commercial and retail areas, offering a multi-layered spatial composition that supports both a მშვიდ and private living environment as well as social and public uses.

The starting point of the design is the palm trees, one of the most defining natural elements of Medina’s geography. These trees are considered not only as part of the landscape but also as a fundamental conceptual reference shaping the spatial organization of the project. The settlement is planned to create a natural oasis atmosphere, with villas positioned among palm groves and shaded pedestrian pathways.

The villas are organized around inner courtyards, referencing the privacy principles of traditional Islamic architecture while supporting contemporary living comfort. Each residential unit features private living areas surrounded by inner and outer gardens. Swimming pools, shaded seating areas, and landscape elements within these courtyards allow users to establish a strong connection with outdoor spaces while maintaining a high level of privacy.

The commercial and retail areas form the public face of the development. Fluid architectural masses and a pedestrian promenade shaped under the shade of palm trees offer visitors an open, vibrant, and inviting public space experience. Wide canopies and shading structures create comfortable outdoor environments adapted to the region’s hot climate conditions.

Serenity Sands is envisioned as a contemporary oasis in Medina, integrating with the desert landscape through its nature-inspired landscaping, courtyard-based residential typology, and commercial areas that support public life.
