Flowline Hotel

Flowline Hotel is designed as a prestigious hospitality structure located in Medina, Saudi Arabia, directly opposite Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, one of the most significant sacred sites in the Islamic world. The project aims to present a contemporary architectural approach that both responds to the needs of visitors and harmonizes with the surrounding sacred spatial atmosphere, while respecting its strong religious and urban context.

The main concept of the design is based on the idea of fluidity, which is also referenced in the building’s name. Vertical structural elements rising along the façade act as a shell that provides solar control while giving the structure a rhythmic movement. Inspired by the fluid forms of sand dunes and the natural geography of the region, these elements create a distinctive architectural language and contribute to a strong urban silhouette.

At ground level, the generously canopied entrance area is designed as a semi-public threshold space that welcomes visitors. This light and fluid entrance canopy, supported by slender columns, provides climatic comfort through shading while also standing out as a key architectural element that strengthens the building’s identity.

Terraces and landscaped areas along the façade enhance the building’s vertical relationship with nature while offering outdoor experiences for the accommodation units. These green layers contribute to a softer and more inviting character within the dense urban fabric.

Flowline Hotel is conceived as a contemporary and iconic structure that aligns with Medina’s sacred skyline, combining a strong location, a fluid architectural language, and a modern hospitality concept.
